Where Will You Be This Time Next Year If You Don’t Start Now

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

“Nothing is as fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.William James

If there ever was an 8th sin, it would be procrastination. Yes, that’s how bad being lazy is! Ok, so I know sloth is one of the seven sins, but seriously, although procrastination is an off-shoot from sloth, it should have a category of its own! The repercussions you face for delaying things can be fatal. All the music that you have to face, all the last minute pile up and of course the Marshal’s Law (what has to go wrong will go wrong) occur when you leave things for the last minute. It is criminal to leave your dreams and goals for the last minute or to keep delaying them.

I read this beautiful saying by Woodrow Wilson and it says,

“We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter’s evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.”

All of us have dreams and goals, somewhere we want to go, something we want to achieve, because without them who would we be?
What makes a difference is that although everyone has dreams, the ones who pursue them, work towards their goals will achieve them. The simple rule to achieving your dreams is hard work and to make them into reality you have to start working TODAY. If, for example, you have been planning to start your small online business, but haven’t yet taken any action, then you better not wait. Remember, tomorrow is your worst enemy, never leave things for tomorrow. Organize yourself today, make a schedule today so you know exactly what you will be doing the whole of next week.

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success”Stephen A. Brennan

In the world of internet marketing, there is no tomorrow. The time dimensions of the internet are much smaller! You can go online 24 hours a day, it’s not a job that has proper timings after which you can’t work. To achieve your internet marketing goals you HAVE to be on your toes, keep yourself updated about the Internet, especially since there are so many social media networking websites that keep giving you new options to make a better presence on the internet.

“You may delay, but time will not.”
Benjamin Franklin

Time will not and CANNOT stop for you or for anyone. It will move on and next year will come anyway, so why not do today what you delay till tomorrow? Why go through the pains? Until you achieve your goals through internet marketing how are you going to list the next set of goals? You have to get your act straight and start moving towards achieving your dreams. Remember internet marketing offers you an opportunity to achieve your perfect dreams, but as in all other aspects of life, you HAVE to be dedicated and organized. Someone who is not dedicated and organized will fail at marketing through the internet.
Do what you can do today, instead of delaying it tomorrow for an unneeded nap or an extended lunch break. You are not on a vacation, you have goals to achieve….and miles to go before you sleep!

Make hay while the sun shines and your is still shining!

Do What You Love and The Rest Will Fall Into Place

Monday, June 21st, 2010

There are times in your life when you have to just stop, look inside you and wonder what you’ve become. Is this what you’ve always wanted to be? I mean, sure you have a car, a house with a white picket fence, but do you love who you are? Do you love what you’re doing?

Don’t panic! It’s normal and a very common phenomenon in today’s world, especially because so many of us become a part of this ‘race’ that we often forget ourselves. We lose sight of who we really wanted to be and what we actually wanted to do. We often feel this strange emptiness inside which is irritating but somehow we can’t put our finger on what is bothering us. I believe that this emptiness is because of a lack of passion in your life, the void is created because you’re not doing things that you absolutely LOVE. In simpler words, you are not listening to your heart.

Go to your bosom: Knock there, and ask your heart what it doth know.William Shakespeare

Follow your heart and it will enrich your soul, which is the most essential part of your existence. We tend to forget that our soul needs to be fed with our heart’s desires in order to be complete and content. This is why I always advise my clients and readers to adopt a simple rule – ‘Follow your heart’.

Follow your heart and you will see how your life starts to fall in place. It’s almost like finding that ONE piece of a jigsaw puzzle which will make fitting the rest of the pieces in so much easier. You need to find your passion/s. It can be fishing, painting, photography, anything under the sun which makes YOU a happier person.

Let your heart rule and your imagination run wild. Don’t think about the practicality of your passions just yet. Isn’t that what we’ve done throughout our lives? Thinking practically and then letting go of things we wanted to do. No harm in dreaming while you take a break from normality, right?

Do you remember this? “I learned that there were two ways I could live my life: following my dreams or doing something else. Dreams aren’t a matter of chance, but a matter of choice. When I dream, I believe I am rehearsing my future.”David Copperfield

Dream, follow your heart and make it your life!

If for example, you are passionate about photography, list all that you can do –collect and organize photographs you’ve taken in the past, do a little research on what is happening in the world of photography etc This will help revitalize your hidden, buried love for it. The next step is to click away! Eventually, you’ll see a theme developing in your photographs, then you can give them creative captions and the list of ideas goes on and on. In this exercise the MOST important thing to do is to show your passion to the world while you make a living out of it!
When we follow our heart and our passions become our lives, the benefits we reap from it are far greater than we ever expected. You will not only be making a living out of what you love but it will make you a happier person. What better way to find success? The ‘guru’ would say ‘Internet Marketing’!

Join a social networking and bookmarking websites if you’re not on it already, make a nice profile and put your passion on display. Blog about it, talk to other people who share the same interests. Believe it or not, this will help you in discovering yourself so much! Often it is difficult to find people who share your passion because no matter how hard we try, it is not possible for a normal person with the typical ’9-5′ job routine to expand his/her social circle. The world of the internet especially since the invasion of social networking websites and blogs, the internet is this amazing social club where you don’t have to work very hard in finding people who have the same interests as you.

Put up your photographs on your profile — or ever better – make your own website! You can ask a professional to make a nice, catchy website for you. Once it’s up there, you can tell people about it, share it with those who might be interested in buying the photographs you’ve taken or want to use your services as a freelance photographer. Market your work, internet is just the tool you need. Spice your offers by adding incentives; like in this case you could give them a free frame. Make your presence felt and tell the world that you have arrived! You have to have faith in yourself, in your work and you have to remember that when you’re doing what you love, people WILL notice it because it is human nature to be curious about those who follow their passions.

Want to know the best thing about this whole business? Initially, you don’t have to invest in a shop or an office setup because you’re communicating online with your clients, yet you will find the amount of money you can make just with internet marketing. You can communicate wherever you are, whenever you want to!

Having a lousy day or second thoughts? Write this down somewhere to help you out on the days you are blue:

Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dream. — Paulo Coelho

Why you need a good coach and mentor for success

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Generally, when we hear the term “coach“, we think of football or basketball team coach whose job is to yell out instructions and buck up the team spirits. Today, this term has taken on a more generic role. It has crossed over the barriers of football and basketball matches and moved into the boardrooms of even some of the most major organizations nowadays.

Do you know the big secret behind the success of big companies like Xerox, GMH and Dun and Bradstreet? Because, they extensively carry out executive coaching and training programs for their employees and company’s growth and success.

As Author of The Inner Game series of books Timothy Gallwey puts it

Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.

The only difference between successful online marketers and unsuccessful ones is that they have attained their success with help of an experienced mentor. In the world of internet marketing, being independent might only lead to failure!

When you decide to enter into a business for the first time, whether it is an offline business like starting a workshop or an online business like internet marketing, difficulties will be first to welcome you. You might end up following the wrong path and hit a very bumpy outcrop, before you can safely take your business to the shore and achieve any quantifiable success, for that matter. If you plunge in without prior experience or training, you are sure to lose your track or might fail in your career as an internet marketer.

For taking safe steps, an experienced coach or mentor can guide you on how to take wise decisions while running your internet marketing business.

Coaches and mentors extensively help in reviving completely or impartially lost positivity in our lives and open doors for greater opportunities, particularly when we try our hands at something new.

Oliver Goldsmith believes that

People seldom improve when they have no other model but themselves to copy

Guidance is necessary if you don’t want to get lost in the woods. Your coach will show you how to take on your business, and help you take care of all your business aspects. To take full advantage of an Internet marketing business, one has to be aware of the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of the business functioning. It may take you a lot of time to research, study and take risks in the online marketing business. Even after doing that, there are still some people who may never succeed in their Internet marketing career ever.

Internet marketing coaches are a good way to guarantee limitless success in your Internet marketing business. A competent Internet marketing coach can give you a quick analysis of what’s wrong and what’s right, what to do and what not to do with your sales plan by just taking a look at it. And plus, if the coach is a professional Internet marketer himself, he will be able to guide you with what strategies to adopt to make your marketing a successful endeavor.

Coaching can certainly help you strengthen your sense of self-worth and self-confidence, help you focus on your goals and reach them faster. It has been witnessed that many of the core skills, professional attitudes, behaviors and leadership ethics are best understood by physical demonstration.

As Albert Schweitzer says

Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing

Mentoring facilitates the mentees in helping them develop and impart excellent leadership qualities and offer practical guidance to other employees, for a cumulative purpose – taking the business towards growth and success!

Having someone to coach you with running your internet marketing business will save you from facing countless blunders and losses. He will steer your way in adopting various successful marketing campaigns, pinpoint the flaws in your marketing policy and help you devise newer ways to reach the top and reach out to many worldwide.
Want to become successful? Take my word and make sure you hire an experienced coach and mentor for your internet marketing business guidance!

Happy Mother’s Day To All Network Marketers

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! Whether or not you are a mother, you all have/had one (right?) so today is a day to celebrate. Without mom’s where would we be? Truly. Where would we be?

Some of you may be thinking that you didn’t have a good mom or you current relationship is strained but I submit that regardless of your relationship, it’s a day to celebrate. You are where you are today because of your mother, in some way shape or form. If you’re reading this post today, it means that you have come to the point in you life where you realize that love, abundance, creation, and personal growth are all there is…so celebrate.

Celebrate your child making you a bookmark that says “mom” but had to make the “m” with an “E” turned sideways and a “0″ for an “o” because her class ran out of the right letters (yes, that was one of the gifts from my daughter).

Celebrate all the hugs and kisses coming your way today, whether in person or across the miles.

Celebrate your friends who are mothers because they, too, deserve the recognition.

Celebrate the fact that you are in the most wonderful industry there is: internet marketing. You get to decide when you want to work, where you want to work, who you want to work with, how much time you want to spend with your family, and what you’re worth.

Take just a few minutes out of your day today to reflect on just what Mother’s Day means to you. It means the world to me.

In loving memory of my mother, December 11, 1932-October 24, 2005.

Grow Yourself To Grow Your Business

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

A successful business springs from the mind of an individual who is committed to self-growth. If you’re not developing yourself, your business will not develop. As you grow, you will find that it is easier and easier to achieve your goals. Put forth the effort to grow yourself and you’ll see the universe respond in kind.

To relate this to something you’ve already experienced – think of it this way. If you want to lose weight, you need to move more and eat less. If you’re committed to your new lifestyle, you’ll see the results you want. The pounds will drop and your body will become lean and toned. If you only occasionally follow the rules and spend part of your time being lazy, you won’t lose weight as fast (if at all). You get what you put into it!

Once you’ve decided to commit to your business idea, you need to commit to your personal growth as well. If you aren’t healthy, your business won’t be either. Here are some tools that will help you in your quest to grow yourself. You may find certain tools very helpful and others not helpful at all – that’s okay! Use whatever combination of tools you want.

Meditating

Meditation is a great way to quiet your mind, lower stress, relax, and focus. It can be hard to learn, but once you’ve mastered it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it! Start with simple breathing exercises. Focus on the sensation of breathing. Feel your lungs fill with air. Hold the air in for a couple counts and then release it slowly. Put all your focus on the experience of breathing so your mind quiets. This may be difficult at first, but keep at it. Start with small ten minute meditation sessions and build up to longer sessions as you get accustomed to the process.

Affirmations

Affirmations are positive thoughts that you repeat to yourself often. (My affirmations are on sticky notes affixed to my bathroom mirror. I read them whenever I wash my hands, brush my teeth, or check my makeup before heading out!) Affirmations should be in the present tense, specific, and written as if they already exist. Instead of saying, “I will make $5000 this week,” say “I am so happy and grateful that I made $5000 this week!”

Vision Boards

These are fun! Take a corkboard, whiteboard, or even a wall of your cubicle and cover it with images of things you want. Put up a picture of your dream house. Cut out the body of a model that you want to look like and paste a picture of your head on top. Hang up your bank statement, with the actual balance whited out and your dream balance penned in. Look at this board often and feel grateful for these wonderful things that are in your life!

Keeping a Journal

Journals help you to keep focused on your goals, restate your affirmations, and track the steps you are taking to achieve your desires. Write down all the thoughts and feelings that you have over the course of the day. Even if an idea seems strange or out of place, write it down. You may find a use for it in the future! A journal will also help you analyze your mistakes so you don’t repeat them in the future.

Committing to self-growth will add to the positive energy in your life, which will make good things come to you and your business. Don’t forget to keep yourself healthy!
