What is a Good Opt In Offer?

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

Opt in offers are a vital part of today’s business as they play a crucial role in keeping customers and clientele interested in your business and new products. But first, what is an opt-in offer?

An opt-in offer is when a customer signs up to receive emails and updates about developments in your business. Think about a department store sending customers that have signed up a mass text message telling them about a current sale – that is exactly what an opt-in offer is!

Opt-In offers have a lot of advantages for both businesses and customers. Some of these include:

1. Widespread advertising of new products
2. Low cost because of modern technology – emails can be sent for next to nothing!
3. Easy profit as your customer can often be easily convinced to buy into offers
4. Once most customers ‘opt in’, and if the subscriptions prove to be useful, they will usually not opt out of these updates and this brings guaranteed profits to your business.

You can easily see why so many businesses choose to use opt-in offers, but what makes a good opt-in offer? Customers are so protective about their personal details and are tired of getting hundreds of junk letters in their mailboxes, cellphone inboxes and email inboxes. Businesses need to have attractive opt in offers which make sure that customers will not choose to quit these subscriptions. If customers start getting annoyed with your constant updates, they will opt out and this will make you lose money, so you need to make sure your opt-in offer is a great one!

To have a successful opt in offer, you must:

1. Offer benefits:
For example, you can offer a free course to your customers. Your course can contain text, audio, graphics – even video! Just send your subscribers a link to the web page where your course can be found because unlike e-mail, your website doesn’t put any restrictions on the size of your media!

Once you’ve developed the course, you can use ‘delayed auto responders’ to e-mail it to your subscribers at preset intervals, exposing them to your business and your offer repeatedly. And the best part is you’re contacting them with information they’ve specifically requested, so they can’t complain!

Another popular example of a benefit would be to offer a free e-book about the specific product your business is trying to sell. These do not need to be lengthy; they can be 8-10 pages long but should be well made. These can also be sent from one customer to another, so this is obviously a way of free advertising for your company!

Finally, offer members-only specials such as discounted prices and offers. This will encourage non-members to sign up for your opt-in offer for the free giveaways and discounts!

2. Make your opt in offer interesting:
Offer games, puzzles, crosswords and prizes on your opt-in offer website. This provides some entertainment for your subscribers and will interest them as they have chances to win free giveaways in a fun way!

3. Offer a discussion board for your members on the opt-in offer website:
This will help both you and your members – you can learn which products they prefer and they can have a place to meet each other and talk about everything related to your product.

Where Will You Be This Time Next Year If You Don’t Start Now

“Nothing is as fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.William James

If there ever was an 8th sin, it would be procrastination. Yes, that’s how bad being lazy is! Ok, so I know sloth is one of the seven sins, but seriously, although procrastination is an off-shoot from sloth, it should have a category of its own! The repercussions you face for delaying things can be fatal. All the music that you have to face, all the last minute pile up and of course the Marshal’s Law (what has to go wrong will go wrong) occur when you leave things for the last minute. It is criminal to leave your dreams and goals for the last minute or to keep delaying them.

I read this beautiful saying by Woodrow Wilson and it says,

“We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter’s evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.”

All of us have dreams and goals, somewhere we want to go, something we want to achieve, because without them who would we be?
What makes a difference is that although everyone has dreams, the ones who pursue them, work towards their goals will achieve them. The simple rule to achieving your dreams is hard work and to make them into reality you have to start working TODAY. If, for example, you have been planning to start your small online business, but haven’t yet taken any action, then you better not wait. Remember, tomorrow is your worst enemy, never leave things for tomorrow. Organize yourself today, make a schedule today so you know exactly what you will be doing the whole of next week.

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success”Stephen A. Brennan

In the world of internet marketing, there is no tomorrow. The time dimensions of the internet are much smaller! You can go online 24 hours a day, it’s not a job that has proper timings after which you can’t work. To achieve your internet marketing goals you HAVE to be on your toes, keep yourself updated about the Internet, especially since there are so many social media networking websites that keep giving you new options to make a better presence on the internet.

“You may delay, but time will not.”
Benjamin Franklin

Time will not and CANNOT stop for you or for anyone. It will move on and next year will come anyway, so why not do today what you delay till tomorrow? Why go through the pains? Until you achieve your goals through internet marketing how are you going to list the next set of goals? You have to get your act straight and start moving towards achieving your dreams. Remember internet marketing offers you an opportunity to achieve your perfect dreams, but as in all other aspects of life, you HAVE to be dedicated and organized. Someone who is not dedicated and organized will fail at marketing through the internet.
Do what you can do today, instead of delaying it tomorrow for an unneeded nap or an extended lunch break. You are not on a vacation, you have goals to achieve….and miles to go before you sleep!

Make hay while the sun shines and your is still shining!

Using the Law of Attraction for Internet Marketers

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Thinking of setting up an online business? To begin with, your primary obligation should be to work on your personal behavior coupled with a positive attitude. Why so? Putting it comprehensively, positive thoughts have a major impact on just about everything we do in our lives and the relationships we build. From what I have seen, those who love being negative about themselves are perhaps the worst failures EVER – trust me, I know what I am talking about!

The process of thinking begins at a very early period of life. Your mind starts constructing these positive or negative messages soon as you begin developing a sense for right and wrong. The fundamental thoughts about yourself and your personal abilities originate from a young age, which ultimately become a part of your personality. These patterns of thoughts become permanent when you become an adult. Therefore, one needs to keep these patterns positive since positive mind-set towards anything leads to greater productivity.

Lost hopes and mislaid visions are signs of failure and NO ONE can stand being one, or being with one!

If you have a positive viewpoint and believe good things happen, then believe it or not, you are half way on to the road to sweet triumph.

This law of attraction can be applied to every business. The things which hurt, instruct by Benjamin Franklin, is what we need to understand. We learn from our mistakes, the bitterest moments teach the best. Once we do, we will try to overcome our fears and weaknesses and show a constructive attitude in work. Every business has its high time and low time…so does Internet marketing. With a positive outlook towards work, you can attain your targets quickly and comfortably, not to mention double your earnings in shorter span. It is one of those businesses that want the marketer to keep a positive attitude towards the work and make money fast.

This positivity will help make an internet marketers life better. It makes ways to help make more money, enjoy every age of his/her life more, and be more successful in the business of internet marketing. Negative thoughts fill your mind and soul with fear, tension and many misconceptions.

It will be impossible to take a positive action when you think negative.

You actually act according to your belief. Positive beliefs help in gaining and strengthening your will power and of course, the stronger the will power, the greater your chances of accomplishing your goals become!

The secret behind every successful business is a positive thought – the more positive, the better! That is exactly the core reason behind many greatest business empires in today’s world. Similarly, in internet marketing, you can promote your products and services at a global level, but your work strategy, your determination and drive determines how proficient you can get at it. For a promising success and flow of profits, make sure you have an optimistic approach towards your work and business and otherwise, your personal life.

In no time, the business of internet marketing has taken over the marketing world. Internet Marketing, being interactive in nature, helps is instant response from the clients. This unique quality of the medium has given it a broader scope. The internet marketers have an advantage to make money fast through e-mails, and wireless media. This will help them to reach every corner of the world and introduce their product.

Just remember,

Thoughts become words. Words become actions. Actions become habits. Habits become character. And character becomes your destiny.

The Value of Good Copywriting: It Can Make Or Break Your Business

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

If you are a good writer, you should be able to pick up copywriting fairly easily. If you’re not a good writer, don’t despair. You certainly have the ability to learn if you’re willing to put forth a little effort.

The key to good copywriting is that you must understand that you’re writing in a different style and to a different audience. As stated in The Copywriter’s Handbook, A Step-By-Step Guide to Writing Copy that Sells, “A copywriter is a sales person behind a typewriter.”

Understanding that you are a sales person is imperative when you are learning copywriting. You must learn to communicate with the your audience in a way that persuades them to buy the product or service that you are writing about. It’s that simple. There must be an initial, positive connection that is made or you’ll find that you’ve lost their attention.

In this day and age, people are inundated with the number of advertisements that they see every day and quickly discard any advertisement that does not fit within their perspective immediately. You must realize that your writing cannot be for entertainment only. Your focus is to sell your product or service.

The headline is probably the most important part of the copy. It is read more often than copy at an exponential rate. If you cannot catch someone’s attention with the headline, you have wasted the rest of your sales copy. A sales letter essentially has about five seconds in which to grab a person’s attention. The headline is that way.

Dan Kennedy is one of the foremost experts on copywriting. He said the way to become better is through continual learning and practicing the skill. His book, The Ultimate Sales Letter is a good place to start your learning. You can pick it up just about anywhere and it’s well worth the few dollars you’ll spend for it.

Copywriting is simple but not easy but the only way to get better is to do it. Constantly read, learn, and develop your skills. You may not become a multi-million dollar copywriter but you can certainly become quite good. The fact that you’re reading this post and looking for more information has already put you ahead of the pack. Now…go forth and write and write some more.
