The Empower Network…Is It For Real?

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

I’ve been working online for a few years now and I thought I had seen it all. Goodness knows I’ve bought it all. At least that’s the way it seemed at the beginning of my career. I was so eager to succeed that I tried everything that was pitched to me without even understanding what it was. Heck, I didn’t even understand the difference between internet and affiliate marketing from network marketing or multilevel marketing (MLM). As a result, I had soon gone through my savings and was now in debt up to my ears before I figured out the basics. Does that sound anything like where you are or have been? If so, continue reading.

It’s now closing in on the end of 2011 and I can tell you that I hadn’t seen it all because something new has emerged…something so spectacular that it seems almost too good to talk about.

David Wood and David Sharpe have developed a new system that practically guarantees your success. I know, I know, you’ve heard that before and you think this is another hype-infested blog post or review about the Empower Network that they created.

This is a review of the new Empower Network system but I promise you it is not hype-infested. I want to provide you with the pros and cons of it and in the end you can decide for yourself; however, what I will promise you is that if you are willing to put a little bit of time in each day to do exactly what they teach you, you WILL see results almost immediately.

You won’t get rich overnight and probably not this week or this month BUT you will definitely move forward in the direction of your dreams…if your dreams include making money from the internet and receiving a passive, residual income from your efforts.

So what is the Empower Network? In a nutshell, it is a generic, funded proposal system that pays out 100% commissions on all of its products and services. You read that correctly…100% affiliate commissions. And to add to this incredible compensation plan, anyone who enrolls under you pays you directly, not the Empower Network, not David Wood or David Sharpe… YOU.

You don’t wait a week or a month for your check to come in the mail; you don’t have your commissions applied to a credit card; your money gets deposited into your bank immediately. How cool is that?

So what are the cons with the Empower Network? There are some growing pains right now. This system is exploding with so many new members daily, that the initial infrastructure couldn’t hold up. There was some down time with the server and some glitches with the merchant service but both Davids were and are working their butts off day and night to ensure that this system will withstand the hypergrowth they are expecting for years and years to come.

If you’re willing to “lock arms” with them and hang on for the ride of your life I believe you will never look back.

As with anything, the more you put in the more you’ll get out. Yes, you will see results if you follow the simple system but you will achieve even greater results if you pay your success forward to others.
You know the famous Zig Ziglar quote, “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” Well, that’s the way this works. You must step up to the plate and be the leader that others are looking for so you can help them achieve their dreams. When that happens, when you genuinely help and serve others, you will see your results improve dramatically.

I look forward to working with each of you. Contact me personally so we can chat about working together.

The Value of Good Copywriting: It Can Make Or Break Your Business

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

If you are a good writer, you should be able to pick up copywriting fairly easily. If you’re not a good writer, don’t despair. You certainly have the ability to learn if you’re willing to put forth a little effort.

The key to good copywriting is that you must understand that you’re writing in a different style and to a different audience. As stated in The Copywriter’s Handbook, A Step-By-Step Guide to Writing Copy that Sells, “A copywriter is a sales person behind a typewriter.”

Understanding that you are a sales person is imperative when you are learning copywriting. You must learn to communicate with the your audience in a way that persuades them to buy the product or service that you are writing about. It’s that simple. There must be an initial, positive connection that is made or you’ll find that you’ve lost their attention.

In this day and age, people are inundated with the number of advertisements that they see every day and quickly discard any advertisement that does not fit within their perspective immediately. You must realize that your writing cannot be for entertainment only. Your focus is to sell your product or service.

The headline is probably the most important part of the copy. It is read more often than copy at an exponential rate. If you cannot catch someone’s attention with the headline, you have wasted the rest of your sales copy. A sales letter essentially has about five seconds in which to grab a person’s attention. The headline is that way.

Dan Kennedy is one of the foremost experts on copywriting. He said the way to become better is through continual learning and practicing the skill. His book, The Ultimate Sales Letter is a good place to start your learning. You can pick it up just about anywhere and it’s well worth the few dollars you’ll spend for it.

Copywriting is simple but not easy but the only way to get better is to do it. Constantly read, learn, and develop your skills. You may not become a multi-million dollar copywriter but you can certainly become quite good. The fact that you’re reading this post and looking for more information has already put you ahead of the pack. Now…go forth and write and write some more.

Grow Yourself To Grow Your Business

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

A successful business springs from the mind of an individual who is committed to self-growth. If you’re not developing yourself, your business will not develop. As you grow, you will find that it is easier and easier to achieve your goals. Put forth the effort to grow yourself and you’ll see the universe respond in kind.

To relate this to something you’ve already experienced – think of it this way. If you want to lose weight, you need to move more and eat less. If you’re committed to your new lifestyle, you’ll see the results you want. The pounds will drop and your body will become lean and toned. If you only occasionally follow the rules and spend part of your time being lazy, you won’t lose weight as fast (if at all). You get what you put into it!

Once you’ve decided to commit to your business idea, you need to commit to your personal growth as well. If you aren’t healthy, your business won’t be either. Here are some tools that will help you in your quest to grow yourself. You may find certain tools very helpful and others not helpful at all – that’s okay! Use whatever combination of tools you want.

Meditating

Meditation is a great way to quiet your mind, lower stress, relax, and focus. It can be hard to learn, but once you’ve mastered it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it! Start with simple breathing exercises. Focus on the sensation of breathing. Feel your lungs fill with air. Hold the air in for a couple counts and then release it slowly. Put all your focus on the experience of breathing so your mind quiets. This may be difficult at first, but keep at it. Start with small ten minute meditation sessions and build up to longer sessions as you get accustomed to the process.

Affirmations

Affirmations are positive thoughts that you repeat to yourself often. (My affirmations are on sticky notes affixed to my bathroom mirror. I read them whenever I wash my hands, brush my teeth, or check my makeup before heading out!) Affirmations should be in the present tense, specific, and written as if they already exist. Instead of saying, “I will make $5000 this week,” say “I am so happy and grateful that I made $5000 this week!”

Vision Boards

These are fun! Take a corkboard, whiteboard, or even a wall of your cubicle and cover it with images of things you want. Put up a picture of your dream house. Cut out the body of a model that you want to look like and paste a picture of your head on top. Hang up your bank statement, with the actual balance whited out and your dream balance penned in. Look at this board often and feel grateful for these wonderful things that are in your life!

Keeping a Journal

Journals help you to keep focused on your goals, restate your affirmations, and track the steps you are taking to achieve your desires. Write down all the thoughts and feelings that you have over the course of the day. Even if an idea seems strange or out of place, write it down. You may find a use for it in the future! A journal will also help you analyze your mistakes so you don’t repeat them in the future.

Committing to self-growth will add to the positive energy in your life, which will make good things come to you and your business. Don’t forget to keep yourself healthy!

The Power of Facebook Friends in Network Marketing

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

You know, it’s funny. I was perusing Facebook this morning, like I usually do, when I received a message from one of my friends complimenting me on my blog and asked me why I hadn’t posted anything for a while.

WOW!

That hit me like a ton of bricks. She was absolutely right. I hadn’t posted anything for a few months because for some reason I still hadn’t convinced myself that I had anything to say that others would find interesting. I also thought that I would work out all of the kinks in the “system” I envisioned in my mind before I would write anything more. I wanted everything to be perfect. I guess I was wrong.

What I learned today is that others want me to succeed as much as I want them to succeed. It’s always been my dream to be able to say I’ve made a positive impact on others and they have been able to go on and live the life they deserve. Unfortunately, I haven’t always let others do that with me.

So, to Angel Taylor, my Facebook friend, a big thank you. You’ve made a difference.

And to others who would like to experience the power of positive change in your life, fill in your information in the box on this page and/or email me and let’s see what we can make happen–together.
