ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Monday, December 19th, 2011

It sounds so easy: Always believe in yourself.

You’ve probably heard those words your entire life but when the whole world seems to be telling you that you can’t do it…whatever it is you’re trying to do…believing in yourself isn’t as easy as it may appear.

Do you have a goal or dream that always seems to be eluding you? Do you wake up every morning and think, “This is the day I’m going to make it big” only to find that by 10:00 your motivation is gone and you’re still in your cubicle with mounds of paperwork beckoning your name?

That sure defined me for a while. Don’t get me wrong I still work full-time (I’m just a few very short years from a pension and I don’t want to pass up another source of permanent income) but it was and is the belief in myself that keeps me going. It’s my belief that I can do what I want, when I want, and with whom I want and I don’t need anyone’s permission to do it.

It wasn’t always like that, though.

So what changed?

How did I and how do you all of a sudden believe in yourself?

You might not want to hear this but it doesn’t normally happen all of a sudden. That’s right, it takes attention and focus; it takes effort to begin seeing the world and yourself in a different light. That doesn’t mean its gruesome work and you’re going to hate it– in fact, you’ll probably enjoy it– but consistent daily effort is required.

Remember above when I said the entire world seems to tell you that you can’t do this or you can’t do that? Those words were actually programmed into our minds.

As a child, we were allowed to have an imagination and we believed we could do anything. BUT, as we grew older, parents, teachers, friends, neighbors, clergy (and the list goes on) all taught us that life is tough; we aren’t “those” people with money; you can’t become famous. You get the idea.

Each and every day your dreams would slowly dissipate and those words, “always believe in yourself” became a distant memory.

About three years ago, I was in south Florida training to be a certified LifeSuccess Consultant and business partner of Bob Proctor. The wonderful Mary Morrissey was one of the speakers there that week and she taught me something very valuable and I want you to listen very carefully to what she taught me. It’s just one sentence:

If you don’t always believe in yourself, would you at least believe that I believe in you?

Pretty powerful, isn’t it? Let me believe in you until you are able to believe in yourself.

Look, at one point I didn’t believe in myself either. I was on the verge of bankruptcy (probably should have filed but didn’t) and wondered how I was going to pay for gasoline to get me to and from work ; and at one point I even moved back home to live with my parents but I dug down deep inside and found just an inkling of belief. You can, too.

I want you to know that you are not alone. I want you to know that your dreams really can come true and I would love to help you in any way I can, whether it’s through earning multiple streams of income or coaching and mentoring you to achieve other life goals.

Just remember those simple words: ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Do You Have Your Own Life Movie?

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

Interesting thing about the weekends…I never seem to get everything done. This weekend was busy as usual but I took the time this afternoon to update my “mind movie.” I created one over a year ago but was never really consistent with watching it.

This time is different. I think I’m different. Something has shifted in me recently and I’m loving it. I can’t think of any one single event that created the shift but it’s nonetheless there. I seem to have an even better outlook on my future and gratitude is abundant.

Since making this movie this afternoon I’ve watched it a dozen time already (really). I can’t believe the warm, loving emotion it creates within me.

Take a look at the movie yourself…it’s less than three minutes. Leave me feedback. Then, more importantly, go and create your own movie. Feel the same excitement I do. You’ll love it.

You’re welcome :-)

Affirmations Do Work

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

Vision boards and affirmations can do wonders for accelerating your path to your dreams. I happen to be a BIG fan of Abraham-Hicks and find Abraham’s words to be the most fulfilling in helping get in the Vortex. This video is great and I strongly encourage you to listen and share as you see fit.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

It Takes Self-discipline And Persistence To Achieve Your Dreams

Friday, July 9th, 2010

What is this world without our dreams? What are you without your dreams? Pretty much nothing! I’m sure you agree too. The dilemma is how far you can go in achieving those dreams and ambitions to make them your life. To make your dreams come true you have to change one thing and that is your attitude. Your attitude determines how far you get in achieving your dreams. Without a positive and determined attitude you will find your dreams losing importance and in fact going far from your reach.

Coming to the most important question: What will it take for you to achieve your dreams in the world of internet marketing? The answer – A positive, determined attitude and a self-confident you. The attitude you’re looking for in the world of internet marketing is one of –Carpe Diem! Seize the day, all you internet marketers out there! When we’re working part-time or full-time on the internet, marketing products or services, we need to stay determined that we CAN seize the day. Keep telling yourself that you CAN! There is a strong need to improve one’s self-confidence in order to achieve ones goals.

“Persistence is the twin sister of excellence. One is a matter of quality; the other, a matter of time.”

By this persistence and self-discipline you will be able to improve your self-confidence and go head-on in to this business. You need to develop persistence and self-discipline through your attitude. Persistence is so important when you step into the field of internet marketing because you will want to give up on it every day. But you have to stick to it and give it a real try. It’s not as difficult as it seems, in fact nothing is impossible or difficult once you put your heart into it. You have to be persistent about your goals and know that to achieve them you have to know what you want and stick to it.

“Let me . . . ; remind you that it is only by working with an energy which is almost superhuman and which looks to uninterested spectators like insanity that we can accomplish anything worth the achievement. Work is the keystone of a perfect life. Work and trust in God.” Woodrow Wilson

Discipline yourself by making a routine and a ‘To Do’ list for every day or a week in advance so you know what your short-term goals are in internet marketing. Self-confidence is a must for you to be persistent and self-disciplined about your goals and dreams. Until and unless you have the attitude that ‘Yes, I can do it’ you will not be able to do it.

“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” – Jesse Owens
